Terms of Service

Last updated: 3 July 2026

These terms govern your use of Unscheme. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

What Unscheme is — and what it is not

Unscheme is an information and guidance service. It helps you discover government welfare schemes you may be eligible for, understand their requirements, and prepare to apply through official channels.

Unscheme is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government body. Unscheme does not submit applications for you, does not decide your eligibility, and cannot guarantee that you will receive any benefit. All applications are made by you, directly with the relevant government authority.

Accuracy of scheme information

Scheme details are compiled from official government sources and updated periodically, but schemes change: eligibility rules, benefit amounts, deadlines, and application processes may differ from what is shown. Eligibility results in the app are an informational estimate based on the answers you provide — they are not a determination of entitlement. Always verify current details on the official scheme page (linked on each scheme) before applying or making decisions.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your account credentials secure, and to only add beneficiary profiles for people you are authorised to represent (such as family members). You are responsible for the documents you upload and for the accuracy of any application you make with a government authority.

Acceptable use

You may not use Unscheme to violate any law, to access other users' data, to scrape or bulk-download content, to misrepresent your identity, or to interfere with the operation of the service.

Fees

Unscheme is currently free to use. We will inform you before introducing any paid features.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, Unscheme is not liable for losses arising from reliance on scheme information shown in the app, from a government authority's decision on your application, or from interruption of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law.

Termination

You can stop using Unscheme and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.
